Teenager

I have known him for 14 years and have so many pictures of him as a child, but nothing of him as a young adult.  He wasn't really willing to have his picture taken, but I told him he didn't have to smile and he went for it. He has this wall in his room where he put up people he admire, like a typical teenager. He has so much knowledge and so much to say, which is so wonderful. I love hearing his argument, frustrations and ideas of how the world works. One of his idols, Kurt Cobain  actually died a few weeks after he was born. I remember holding this boy in my arms when I found out. Now he is about a head taller, a hundred pounds heavier than me and could easily lift me up in the air. I am so thankful that he has been a part of my life for so long and I hope that he will continue being the wonderful person that he is. J I love you!

Local Photography

It was a nice sunny day, a bit cold, but nothing like last weekend. I went to this old "haunted house" and some other places locally. I have seen a lot of places around where I live where I wanted to stop, and today I finally did.

New Soul

I'm a new soul I came to this strange world hoping I could learn a bit about how to give and take. But since I came here felt the joy and the fear finding myself making every possible mistake. I'm a young soul in this very strange world hoping I could learn a bit about what is true and fake. But why all this hate trying to communicate finding trust and love is not always easy to make. This is a happy end cause' you don't understand everything you have done and why's everything so wrong. This is a happy end come and give me your hand I'll take you far away. - Yael Naim

Freezing Photography

Me and my friend Krystal went out to take some pictures on Sunday. I don't think we realized that normal people don't go out to snap photos for no reason when it is almost zero degrees outside (or at least so it felt). Well at least there are some people that have a good reason to be outside in freezing temperatures, like the Green Bay Packers and the NY Giants fighting to get to the super bowl. Krystal and I had absolutely no reason to be outside except for being hardcore amateur photographers. The cold didn't just freeze our hands, feet and noses but also our brains. There was no rhyme or reason for any shots since our bodies were almost shutting down to the state of hypothermia. Our eyes were tearing and snot was covering our photo displays, so there was no telling if this excursion was going to be worth while. If not we had at least tested our limits to how far we will take our passion for photography. I can't say that I was overwhelmed with excitement when we finally de-thawed and looked at the pictures. However, we had so much fun and I would do it all over again.

Junkyard failure

It snowed yesterday and it was so beautiful. I really missed snow this season. We haven't had much of it and it didn't even snow when I was home in Sweden. I know a lot of people think of it as a pain when it happens, but I just love snow. Huge snowflakes that slowly fall from a stone gray sky are one of the most amazing things this world has to offer. I was hoping the snow would have continued. I was imagining staying home "sick" and going for a photo shoot. But no luck. The rain washed the snow away and I didn't stay home from work.  Needless to say, I wasn't thrilled to be at work today. I figured I'd go to shoot some pictures after work to cheer myself up at a nearby junkyard. One thing I truly love, almost more than snow, is junk! Rust, old things, trash and awful stuff makes me super excited. Well, it didn't really work out like I had planned this afternoon. I went into the junkyard area and saw a lot of opportunity for cool pictures. I didn't get very far and before I even got to take one picture I got kicked out by these mean junkyard dudes that clearly had no appreciation for art. So while these dudes where laughing at me I took my car and went behind the junkyard into a parking lot where they had dumped a bunch of hubcaps. I shot some pictures real quick before anyone saw me. It felt good to at least come home with something.

Sleeping Beauty

It was New Years Eve and my friend's daughter tried to stay up until midnight like the other kids at our party, but she didn't make it. She fell asleep wrapped in my red blanket and she looked so peaceful. The way her pretty little face was surrounded by the red folds of the blanket made it look like she was sleeping inside a rose. I first wasn't sure I liked how the picture came out, but I think it is ok. I don't think I captured her softness and the angel like features as well as I would have liked. But I had fun shooting her picture and I thought I put it up for some feedback.

Testing, testing!

wow, this is easy...I'm proud to have been able to put a picture on here.  This is a picture I took when I was back in Sweden over Christmas. I'm now hooked on this, so I'll be posting a bunch of pictures soon.

Me myself and I

Hey, welcome to my blah blah blahgger...as you might have guessed, this will be a regular silly computer diary for anyone to view and it will probably not change your life one bit. However, some meaningless information about me might kill some minutes or spark some interest. So for you guys, I hope you enjoy checking in once in awhile to see what is posted by me. I'll put some of my photos here as well as some thoughts and ideas that will pop into my crazy little Swedish brain. Yep, I'm Swedish and seriously proud of it. This is very Swedish...I mean to be proud of it! Also, all those rumors about Swedish girls are all true. We are all blond, blue eyed and have big...! ha ha ha...oh, and did I mention...FUNNY!
