Amish Living

I admire the way the Amish live with their traditions in this modern world as if it went unnoticed. Here are some pictures that I took on Easter. I was fascinated by the buggies parked outside the services at someones house, the texture of old paint on a farm house and the graveyard without writing non the stones. I am also posting some pretty horses that looked like they enjoyed this sunny easter weekend.

Young and Pretty

Honesty, freedom and liveliness was piercing through the air created by these wonderful young spirits. I feel like I have a special connection to children. I love them all no matter what. I love their willingness to give whatever they have to offer. They are ready for the world, they believe and have hope. They share it with me and transfer their dreams through me. Their eyes can tell me a whole story and I am happy when I can capture it with my camera. Two "Tom-boys" not aware of being absolutely gorgeous.

Easter

Celebrated easter out in the amish country with my best friends family. I took lots of pictures and I'll post some of them later on, but for now, I'll just post a couple that I took in church!

Thrift Shopping

I squeezed in some thrift shopping this past weekend. I had so much luck! I bought vintage dresses, jewelry and hats etc. for a total of 15 dollars. I even got a couple of dresses that I have altered and can wear for work for one dollar each. I am currently collecting vintage clothing for a big photo project that I have in mind. I can't wait for all the upcoming flea markets this spring. If you are interested in vintage finds you have to go to Fresh Vintage blog. It is awesome! (see my links list).

afloat

afloat waiting
hoping to see
worrying
do I know
or will I ever
run be free
still remember
somewhere
I live
assured
unsinkable

Another weekend has gone way too quick. I have so many things I want to do and I can't fit it all in. I am working on my photo studio, which is coming along pretty good. I got some white background paper on a roll and now I need a curtain rod so I can hang it up.

I also got some time to paint again. Since I got into it last weekend I figured I keep going while I'm feeling creative. This one might not be ready yet, but I am posting it anyway. There are so many wonderful painters in this world and I have no clue how they do it. I am not a good painter but I enjoy it, and I think that is all that matters. I like to mix colors, textures and put down whatever comes to my mind. I like to write too, but same there, not a writer. I like to keep everything I do in this blog because I like to share, not because I think what I do is especially good. It is just who I am and what I do. I am grateful for you, who reads this right now, because I know you took the time to see what I have to give. Whether you like what you see or not. Thanks!
