In the pool

This summer when Hanna was here we were hanging out by the pool on day. I'd like to post her picture from when she is jumping of the diving board, but I don't think she would like that, so I am just posting this one when she was franticly looking for her favorite hair clip she lost after she had jumped in. She is so funny and I still laugh at all the fun moments we had together this summer. I am also posting a serious picture of her that I love. She is my sister forever and I love her so much. Again, Hanna, thank you so much for visiting and for making me laugh so much.

Scottish Irish Festival, PA

Not the best weather, but hey...fun fun! It's been a while since I shot some pics, except for a wedding a couple weeks ago. This time with my new Canon 50D...still in learning. I'm posting a bunch of pics, so if you feel like seeing them bigger just click on the image. I am totally into blurring my pictures too right now. I like it.

Thanks Brett

I'm totally in love with Brett Dennen and his lyrics. I'm posting yet another song by him. I made a little collage to go with it. Hope you enjoy this too. It is called Heaven

Beyond the rules of religion
The cloth of conviction
Above all the competition
Where fact and fiction meet

There's no color lines or casts or classes
There is no fooling the masses
Whatever faith you practice
Whatever you believe

Heaven, heaven
What the hell is heaven?
Is there a home for the homeless?
Is there hope for the hopeless?

Throw away your misconceptions
There's no walls around heaven
There's no codes you gotta know to get in
No minutemen or border patrol

You must lose your earthly possession
Leave behind your weapons
You can't buy your salvation
And there is no pot of gold

Heaven ain't got no prisons
No government, no business
No banks or politicians
No armies and no police

Castles and cathedrals crumble
Pyramids and pipelines tumble
The failure keeps you humble
And leads us closer to peace

Heaven, heaven
What the hell is heaven?
Is there a home for the homeless?
Is there hope for the hopeless?
Is there a home for the homeless?
Is there hope for the hopeless?

So true...please read

There ain't no reasons things are this way
It's how they've always been and they intend to stay
I can't explain why we live this way
We do it everyday

Preachers on the podium speaking of saints
Prophets on the sidewalks begging for change
Old ladies laughing from the fire escape, cursing my name

I got a basket full of lemons and they all taste the same
A window and a pigeon with a broken wing
You can spend your whole life working for something
Just to have it taken away

People walk around pushing back their desk
Wearing pay checks like necklaces and bracelets
Talking 'bout nothing, not thinking about death
Every little heart beat, every little breath

People walk a tight rope on a razor's edge
Carrying their hurt and hatred and weapons
It could be a bomb or a bullet or a pin
Or a thought or a word or a sentence

There ain't no reasons things are this way
It's how they've always been and they intend to stay
I don't know why I say the things I say,
But I say them anyway

But love will come set me free
Love will come set me free
I do believe
Love will come set me free
I know it will
Love will come set me free
Yes

Prison walls still standing tall
Some things never change at all
Keep on building prisons,
Gonna fill them all
Keep on building bombs
Gonna drop them all

Working your fingers bare to the bone
Breaking your back, make you sell your soul
Like a lung is filled with coal,
Suffocating slow

The wind blows wild and I may move
But politicians lie and I am not fooled
You don't need no reason or a 3 piece suit
To argue the truth

The air on my skin and the world under my toes
Slavery is stitched to the fabric of my clothes
Chaos and commotion wherever I go
Love, I try to follow

But love will come set me free
Love will come set me free
I do believe
Love will come set me free
I know it will
Love will come set me free
Yes

There ain't no reasons things are this way
It's how they've always been and they intend to stay
I can't explain why we live this way
We do it everyday

I am home!

Here I am. It is strange...I've been waiting to come home for two years and all of a sudden I am here! More beautiful than I remembered. I haven't been home in June for so many years that I had forgotten just how amazing Sweden is in the summer time. I just snapped some quick photos today but there will be more to come...Next week is Midsummer and I can't wait. Being able to spend this holiday with my family is s blessing. They have been so missed and it is very nice to be able to kiss and hug them in real life, not just over the phone.

I'm going Home!

I am going home to a place where I belong!
When I cross the bridge, all my worries disappear and I can breathe. There is no place like home! :-)
A long vacation is just what I need. I am blessed with a wonderful family and great friends. I can't wait to kiss and hug them all!
Sweden here I come!

We Belong Together

The hammer may strike, be dead on the ground.
a nail to my hand, a cross on his crown.
we're done if, who we're undone,
finished if who we are incomplete.
as one we are everything,
we are everything we need.

we belong together,
like the open seas and shores,
wedded by the planet force,
we've all been spoken for

What good is a life, with no one to share,
the light of the moon, the honor of a swear.
we can try to live the way in which you speak,
taste the milk of your mother earth's love,
spread the word of consciences you see,
we are everything we need

All this indecision,
all this independent strength,
still, we've got our hearts on save,
we've got our hearts on safe.

someday when you're lonley,
sometime after all this bliss,
somewhere lost in emptiness,
I hope you find this gift...

Boys being Boys

It doesn't matter how old you are...it's only how old you feel! Paul, Christian, John and I had a fun skateboarding the other day. I was really shaky and way out of shape, but I loved to skate again. The boys did way better!

Is it just me?...

or do other people find beauty in these sort of things. I mean , I feel kinda dumb sometimes enjoying the smallest things. I see these beatiful compositions, colors and textures in so many things and they make me happy. They might not be the the most facinating pictures but I hope that someone sees that the nature of things can be truly incredible, and they don't cost a thing.

River

phone calls of terrible news but the river keeps moving forwards or backwards or around...

Factory

Just another little excursion! Fun but got all scratched up sneaking into private property.
