A sleeping beauty so gorgeous
so little and innocent and soft
heart filled with voices recognizable
scared with new things but learning
every day is a new adventure
new things to take in and comprehend
missing but reaching for anything
hurting, growing, crying and screaming
but laughing at silly sounds and funny faces
from different strangers all around
snoozing while others are watching
this wonderful little sleeping beauty
